Former barkeeps from Bowery Ballroom and Mercuruy lounge opened up Fresh Salt in a 19th century former Salt and Smoked Fish shop... hence the name.

But focus on the fact that normal people opened up what's the only good, relaxed bar with tasty and cheap food in this tourist mecca.

So if you're either here for tourism, or maybe when they open those old market stalls and have those high-end foodie shops... or maybe if you're ice skaing, come here.
