The fact that this place has certain cheeses making their New York City debut should tell you something. Casellula is brought to you by the former staff (and cheese-lovers) of Chanterelle, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, and The Modern.
But instead of a cheese cart and a guy in a tux, you get a relaxed inoteca and dishes pairing cheese in that perfect mix of inventive yet casusal. So not just cheese on a plate, but unimaginably delicious crostini, 6-Point Sweet-Actions flavord icecream sundaes, and some of the finest roast-pork-ass imaginable ("pork ass sandwich," verbatim from menu).
This place should be below 14th St, but we glad it's here.
